Hi,

A few years ago I purchased a lake house and the previous owners of the house left behind their catalina 22 and said that they were selling it and someone would pick up within a week or two. They left the sails and motor in one of the outside changing rooms. A few weeks later teh motor and sails were gone but the boat and its trailer are still with the property to this very day. I never really knew what to do with the thing because it seemed useless with out the sails and it looks sorta used. At one point considereded selling it but since I dont have the title or anything to it thats sorta difficult. The boat has been in the water ever since I bought the house ( bout 4 years). Currently half of the stern is underwater and it is flooded throughout the cabin. The only reason it stopped sinking is because it hit the ground the water its very shallow where it is docked.

I'm currious as to what I would need to do to get this thing in working condition so I could use it this summer(assuming I can get the water out). As well as some sort of approximate cost and where I could purchase the things that I need. Everything looks in good shape except the wood is faded and the paint is starting to come off. THe mast and all the hardware looks to be in good condition though.

One thing I did notice last summer when the water was low was that the keel is broken and would definitly need to be replaced and it also appears that the rudder is gone. Its also gonna need all new lines and sails as well as a motor thats for sure.

I don't know really anything about sailing so whats the setup to get? And will this be worth all the work and money invovled?

Thanks
