: I have a place in Cape Coral Florida that is on a salt water canal with boat dock and lift. Problem is to get to the gulf I have to pass under a bridge that is about 15 foot. Would it be possible to have a trailerable sailboat such that I could lower the mast to get to my house but yet raise it once I'm past the bridge? Is this something that can be done while you're in the water or does the boat have to be on the trailer. ????

Saw this and it might would help you with your prob. go to www.trailersailor.com then click on marketplace then I went to classifieds then scroll down till you find one that says MAST-UP. I don't know anything sailing but was looking into it. So really can't say if this product will work but it seems to me that if it saves you time then that might not be time you had the other way. Hope this helps
