DESIGN FEATURES
This centre cockpit design by Jim Brown has a double berth in the aft cabin converted from a 4 seat dinette, just aft of the galley which has a 2 burner propane stove, cooler, sink with water from the 25 gal tank by a hand pump and from the lake by a foot pump, lots of storage. In the fore cabin are 2 single berths and a "dressing' area with storage lockers and bins and a shower arrangement. In the forecastle is the head with 30 gal. holding tank.
The cockpit seats 4, has the tiller and access to almost all control lines. There is an awning to cover the cockpit in harbour. The amas (floats, outer hulls have spaceous storage space for sails, fenders, etc.
SAILING
The working sails are the fully battened main with 2 jiffy reefs worked from the cockpit and lazy jacks, a yankee (high clew) heavy duty reefable jib and a stay sail. For light winds a 150% genoa gives good performance. Downwind, the asymetric spinnaker is fun and easily dowsed by its sleeve. It is flown from the ama bows with no pole. There is also a 'mule' - a smaller heavier genoa.
